Telecoms company Connexin have recently launched a trial package for it’s customers with speeds of up to 2Gbps as a prelude to their £80 million project to deliver Fibre-To-The-Premises to Hull. The residents of Hull have for the most part only had one provider through the local company KCOM, however Connexin aims to topple this ‘monopoly’.

Kate Muir, Connexin’s Fibre Product Lead, stated that “we are excited to launch our 2000 Mbps package shortly to up the game and challenge the monopoly in Hull.” With Connexin’s announcement it will be interesting to see if they are able to provide this package to a larger consumer base, and if it will be available at an affordable price.
